Prof. Adam Nicholls
Evidence Based Strategies to Maximise Well-Being and Performance

Keynote Speaker Adam is a Sport and Exercise Psychology professor at the University of Hull, UK, who has published over 95 journal articles on topics such as stress, coping, coach behavior, and resilience; and has written five books. Adam is well known for delivering keynotes that are based on the latest scientific literature in a manner that offers practical strategies that can be used to enhance leadership, stress management, and psychological well-being for leaders and employees. Indeed, some of the world’s finest athletes have taken part in his research, which gives Adam a unique insight into some of the mindsets of these athletes, which he shares in his keynotes.

Adam is a strong advocate for neurodiversity, having been diagnosed with dyslexia and autism, and often writes about the strengths of neurodiversity and how these can be harnessed to enrich the lives of neurodivergent people.

Outside of work, Adam applies his latest research findings when he trains and competes in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. This allows him to refine many of the techniques he talks about. He is a proud father to two children, Lawson and Sebbie.
