From the front desk of a small FBO in Minnesota to the captain’s seat of an international commercial airliner, Erika Armstrong has experienced everything aviation has to offer. During her piloting career, she was a Red Cross, charter, corporate, cargo, hazmat, and air ambulance pilot, flying twenty-eight different aircraft before becoming an airline captain.

She is also an aviation professor, instructional designer, and VP of Business Development and Marketing at Advanced Aircrew Academy. Her experiences are bolstered by education. She received her undergraduate journalism education from the University of Minnesota, a B.A. from the University of Denver in International Business and Economics, and an M.S. in progress from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
