Faf de Klerk
Professional Rugby Player, Springbok Scrumhalf, and 2x Rugby World Cup Champion.

Faf de Klerk’s popularity skyrocketed following the Springboks' 2019 World Cup victory in Japan. The scrumhalf, known for his signature long blonde hair, famously shook hands with Prince William in the Bok change room after the final while wearing a South African flag speedo. This iconic moment inspired hundreds of Bok fans to replicate the gesture during the team’s trophy tour in South Africa, with many others donning Faf masks. His fame is also reflected in his massive social media following, with over 541,000 followers on Instagram and almost 47,000 on X (Twitter), which he actively uses to promote his sponsors and partners.

Faf played a crucial role in the Springboks’ Test series win against the British & Irish Lions in 2021 and was instrumental in defending their World Cup title in 2023, playing the full 80 minutes of the final against the All Blacks. His impact extended to club rugby, where he was part of the Lions teams that reached Super Rugby finals in 2016 and 2017. After joining Sale Sharks in England, Faf became a standout player for the club during his five seasons, competing in the English Premiership, European Challenge Cup, and European Champions Cup, while also becoming a fan favourite. In May 2022, Faf signed with the Yokohama Canon Eagles, who compete in Japan’s Rugby League One tournament.
