Jurenzo Julius is an electrifying outside centre who can also cover wing and fullback. With his speed, skill, and an eye for a gap, he is solid under the high ball and an excellent defender. Born in Namibia, Julius made a name for himself at Paul Roos Gymnasium in the Western Cape in 2022, earning selection for the Western Province XV at the U18 Craven Week. He then joined the Durban-based Sharks and was part of the U20 team that won the SA Rugby U20 Cup in 2023.
Julius went on to start four out of five matches for the Junior Springboks (South Africa U20) on the right wing at the 2023 World Rugby U20 Championship, where he scored two tries. In 2024, he wore the No. 13 jersey in all three of South Africa’s matches in the inaugural Sanzaar U20 Rugby Championship, scoring a try in their win against Argentina. He is also set to feature in the World Rugby U20 Championship in June and July.
