Through her highly interactive and entertaining talks Sophie specialises in using the latest scientific research to help you maximise your potential, mindset, and mental health.
She has an extensive social media presence with her work reaching more than a hundred thousand people a day.
Sophie is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Notre Dame University Medical School, lecturing in science communication.
She received an Order of Australia Medal (an award established by Queen Elizabeth II) for her service to broadcast media and community health throughout Australia.
She has written three books (Live a Longer Life, RoadTesting Happiness and Beat High Functioning Anxiety Now)
Sophie has won numerous major awards for her journalism as the National Medical Reporter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation including a prestigious Eureka Award for medical reporting.
Sophie is on the Advisory Board of the Australian National Mental Health Prize and the University of Melbourne’s Contemplative Studies Centre.
She is an ambassador for Bowel Cancer Australia, Pain Australia and is a patient reviewer for the British Medical Journal. Sophie is married and has four sons.
